IMS currently operates Rollback and Tractor/Trailer services along the east coast. We possess over-dimensional blanket permits for local travel in Virginia and have knowledge and access for out-of-state permitting as well. We can provide access to an assortment of hauling equipment including tractors, tilt-bed rollbacks, hydraulic trailers, tie-down van trailers, forklifts and rigging trucks.
IMS operates hydraulic truck cranes and carry deck/plant cranes. Operators provide reputable and reliable crane service. These operators are well-experienced and knowledgeable of various applications in which crane service can be provided. Experienced consultants are available for a free onsite consultation to evaluate job requirements and provide a cost estimate.
The carry-deck cranes are dual-fueled (gas and propane) for inside plant activity or outside applications.
IMS offers quality and competent rigging services to clients who need equipment set up on location. Riggers follow strict procedures for the transfer and placement of equipment. We offer these rigging services in planned and emergency situations. This availability on demand as well as consistent performance typically results in repeat customers. Specialized equipment includes 15,500# capacity lifts with 8' forks, 12,000# capacity electric lifts and walkers, air bag system, and an assortment of various Dolly systems to handle all applications.
IMS offers a wide range of machinery packaging options in providing both short and long-term protection to sensitive-machined surfaces and instrumentation. Options for packaging include a basic polywrapping and crating of machinery pieces and extend to a "premier" packaging option. The "premier" option incorporates a shipping skid base where the piece of equipment is bolted and sealed to prevent contamination. The "premier" packaging also includes foam wrapping to ensure puncture protection; the final step is to apply a vapor barrier sheet to the machinery guaranteeing a moisture-proof barrier.
IMS has the capability of committing to a plant relocation project for a long-term period. Laborers are efficient and skilled in moving myriad sizes and types of equipment. Whether the job requests one piece or entire plant relocation, we can provide the necessary workforce and materials. Recently we have worked with a major plant to move its plant machinery from one state to another. Our transportation fleet and installation protocol have made this a long-term commitment and a successful endeavor.
